Monty leads going into final round
Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie has a one-shot lead over defending champion Tiger Woods going into the final round of the Deutsche Bank Open in Germany today.
The Scot carded a seven-under-par 65 yesterday to move to 17 under, but Woods’ 64, which moved him to within one shot of the lead, was the best round of the day.
Montgomerie twice needed treatment for a back injury during yesterday’s third round and has admitted that it could affect his chances of securing a victory today.
The 38-year-old has never won a tournament by beating Tiger Woods.
