Woods finished his round on eight under par after a round of 66 and lies just two strokes behind the overnight leader Chris Di Marco.

Ireland’s Darren Clarke had an excellent 67 on the second day to bring him

up to six under par as the second highest placed European.

Padraig Harrington also had a good second round to leave him on level par and within the cut by just one stroke.
