Daly is drawn with McGinley

THE colourful John Daly has been drawn with Ireland’s Paul McGinley and English Ryder Cup player Oliver Wilson in the first two rounds of the 3 Irish Open at Baltray.

They go off the first tee at the Co Louth links tomorrow at 12.50pm and on Friday at 7.50am. The trio play ahead of 2007 winner Pádraig Harrington, Lee Westwood and Miguel-Angel Jimenez in another threeball sure to command plenty of interest.

The early birds tomorrow will be able to watch Darren Clarke and the winners of the last two events on the European circuit, Thomas Levet and Daniel Vancsik, go off the first at 7.40am followed by Graeme McDowell, Jose-Maria Olazabal and Ross Fisher and then by defending champion Richard Finch, three times champion Colin Montgomerie and big Irish hope, 20-year-old Rory McIlroy.
