Scott sacks caddie

Rising Australian golfer Adam Scott has sacked his caddie just weeks after his greatest tournament victory. Scott split with Scotsman Alastair McLean, who he teamed with to win the prestigious Players Championship in Florida.

The 23-year-old Australian made his decision after missing the cut at the US Masters two weeks ago, although insiders say that the pair's relationship was on the wane before then.

Scott is taking a break on Australia's Gold Coast and there is no word on who the replacement will be when Scott returns at the TPC of Europe tournament in Germany on May 20.
