Women don't cut it with Ken
Davies became the first woman to compete on the European Tour but crashed to second last place in the co-sanctioned event won by fellow Brit Brian Davis.
Schofield will step aside from his position on December 31 but the Scottish-born Tour chief is adamant there'll be no women teeing up in any Tour event whilst he still has control of the leading reins.
"We are running a men's golf tour," said Schofield. "That's how we have been conducting our affairs and that's where all our energies have been directed and I believe that is where they are going to be directed.
"We have actually no wish to take over any of the ladies tours, none whatsoever.
"We will concern ourselves with our own affairs and we very much respect the ladies tours have as their prime assets their best golfers and I mentioned that last May.
"But if people have taken other directions that is their prerogative.
"All our contracts have been aimed at what we can deliver and certainly do not include ladies.
"I hate to be in the business of offering assets that other people own and the membership rights of a Laura Davies or an Annika Sorenstam or the next generation of women golfers. They are not our property. Our judgement is they should not be."
