Ger Cunningham and Lyndsey Keohane into Poc Fada Hall of Fame

Long puck masters Ger Cunningham and Lyndsey Keohane were inducted into the Poc Fada Hall of Fame at the launch of this year's competition in Croke Park on Wednesday.

Cork goalkeeping great Cunningham won the annual event in Louth's Cooley Mountains on seven successive occasions between 1984 and 1990. 

Carlow’s Lyndsey Keohane (nee Condell) is the camogie Hall of Famer, having won the event back-to-back in 2007 and 2008.

This year's M. Donnelly Myclubshop.ie Poc Fada will take place on Monday, August 3rd over a 5km course on the Annaverna Mountain on the Cooley Peninsula.

Senior champions Colin Ryan of Limerick and Molly Lynch from Cork will defend their titles. Lynch is closing in on Cunningham's run of titles, targeting her sixth in a row. Ryan has won the last two and previously won in 2021.

GAA president Jarlath Burns and Camogie Association president Hilda Breslin launched this year's event.
