As it happened: wins for Mayo and Donegal in football league, Waterford hurlers beat Limerick

Waterford's attitude was on point from the start and they deserved their victory over Limerick, John Fogarty writes.

Five minutes to go here and the pace has slowed. Tipp have been sharp and clinical, but Offaly have been their own worst enemy.
One worry for Limerick and now one for Waterford: captain Conor Prunty leaves the field injured. Waterford have been dogged. Charlie Treen has three points to his name. Calum Lyons and Jamie Barron are finding more space now but Limerick are back to 15.

Waterford's lead at the break was deserving for the way in which they have taken this game to Limerick and Reuben Halloran's free-taking has been flawless. Worryingly for the visitors, Adam English retired with a shoulder/collarbone injury.
Interesting observation here. Jim McGuinness is joined as usual by Neil McGee and Colm McFadden. However, Antoin McFadden (Colm’s brother and an athletic performance coach) is very involved on the line as well.
