Injuries and player absences have paved the way for some new faces in the Sars team, but manager Johnny Crowley insists competition is huge inside the camp.

When Sarsfields regained the Seán Óg Murphy cup last October, it would have been easy for them to rest on their laurels. 

They had bridged the nine-year gap to their last title in 2014, and they were soon to have a few ready-made excuses for a down year.
