Reigning All-Ireland champions St Thomas’ remain on course for a record seven Galway SHC titles in a row after coming from behind in added time to pip Turloughmore by 0-19 to 1-15 in a gripping quarter-final in front of a huge crowd at Kenny Park in Athenry.

They will now meet Cappataggle, appearing in their fifth semi-final in eight years but who have never been in the final, in the last four, while Loughrea and Clarinbridge will clash in the other semi-final.
