Cork senior hurling captain Seán O’Donoghue and fiancée Aoife Daly are cheering an early victory ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC final with the birth of a baby boy.
The Inniscarra man and Kilmallock woman welcomed their bundle of joy into the world in recent days as O’Donoghue prepares to lead out his county against Clare in seven days’ time.
O’Donoghue is engaged to Aoife, sister of former Limerick U20 hurler Brian. He is the third father in the Cork team after Patrick Horgan and Declan Dalton.
Horgan and his wife Ashley celebrated the birth of Jack in 2022 and later that year Dalton and his partner Sarah welcomed DJ.
