Nickie Quaid (Limerick) – The outstanding goalkeeper of this championship and one of Limerick’s hurler of the year candidates. His shot-stopping wasn’t what it should have been in 2023 but it’s back with a bang this season.

Adam Hogan (Clare) – Some Clare supporters envisage he will be the future full-back but the shutdown jobs he is currently doing on inside forwards is just fine. The mismatch with Gearóid Hegarty aside, the Feakle man has been excellent going back to the league.
