Johnny Glynn has returned home to Ireland and is back training with the Galway senior hurlers, are reporting.
Glynn, an All-Ireland winner with the county in 2017, last wore the maroon shirt during the 2019 Leinster SHC round-robin.
Ahead of last summer’s club championship, Glynn transferred back to his home club Ardrahan from the United States.
Ardrahan were promoted to the Senior A championship for 2023, with Glynn officially completing his transfer from New York’s Hoboken Guards in July.
The 30-year-old forward made his senior inter-county debut in 2012 and started both the 2017 All-Ireland final win over Waterford and 2018 All-Ireland final defeat to Limerick.
Glynn confirmed last year he did speak to manager Henry Shefflin and that he had not retired from inter-county action.
are reporting that while they understand Glynn is back training with the county, he is not part of the official panel.
