The Munster Hurling League will not be completed, the Munster GAA have confirmed.
Cork's meeting with Limerick was cancelled on three occasions due to fog, then frost and finally Storm Isha, which caused havoc across Ireland on Sunday.
Those postponements meant that the final, where Waterford were awaiting the winners of the Rebels' clash with the All-Ireland champions, also had to be pushed back.
But in statement released by Munster GAA on Monday afternoon, it was confirmed that there is no suitable timeframe to play the remaining fixtures so the 2024 campaign has been cancelled as a result.
"After discussions with the three counties involved, it has not been possible to find suitable dates this week to play the two remaining games in the CoOp Superstores Munster Hurling League.
"Therefore, the Munster GAA CCC has decided that the 2024 competition will not be completed."
