There’s plenty that goes into the winning and losing of a game but there’s no doubting that for Erin’s Own their quick burst before half time, after St Catherine’s had levelled the game, was key to their success. Their manager, Brian O’Shea was thankful of the foothold it gave them.

“They got their goal when we felt we were going quite well. We were getting the score that we wanted to be getting and shooting from where we wanted to. They got a goal that brought them back into the game, that’s our own fault. I think Johnny Kavanagh’s goal, gave us that foothold back that we needed going in at half time.
