On this county final week, the players are centrestage. And rightly so. And yet the mind wanders toward the various management teams who will patrol and panic the Páirc Uí Chaoimh sideline on Saturday and Sunday.

I stepped off the pitch in 2009. And stepped onto the sideline a year later. Between coaching and as a selector, I’ve been involved in backroom teams with the Cork seniors, Cork minors, and Glen Rovers seniors.
