Shin splints hampered the Cork man's progress but he's fighting fit ahead of Sunday's county final.

Jack O’Connor’s season took an age to get going.

But the very same as when he is scorching a path towards the opposition goal, there’s been no catching the 25-year-old since he belatedly got up and galloping.
