While the likes of Luke Connolly are used to making headlines for Nemo, manager Paul O’Donovan was keen to praise his defence after they qualified for the final of the Cork PSFC after beating Duhallow. The 3-10 they amassed will bring you a long way to winning most games, but the score they conceded will help too.

“We conceded 1-8 and I think their forwards only got 1-3 of that, 1-4? (1-1 from starting six off play). That’s a testament to our defence. They were outstanding, I thought. Kieran Histon was outstanding Briain Murphy and Kevin Fulganati, the full-back line, I thought that everything that went in there, they were gobbling it up.
