Over 24 hours after Louth claimed Mickey Harte was leaving them for Derry, the reigning Ulster champions have confirmed the Ballygawley man is their new manager on a three-year term.

Tyrone's All-Ireland SFC winning manager in 2003, '05 and '08, Harte was proposed and ratified as Ciarán Meenagh’s successor at a meeting of the Derry County Board in Owenbeg on Tuesday evening, and as expected will be joined by his long-time senior coach and former Tyrone defender Gavin Devlin.
