Kilmurry and St Finbarr’s took the direct route to the semi-finals of the Bons Secours Cork Premier JFC after they both made it three wins from three on Friday night. They will be joined in the knockout stages by Urhan, Cobh, Cullen, and Millstreet who all got the wins they needed to extend their season. Kinsale and St Michael’s also have one more game left, but unfortunately for them, it will be a relegation play-off.

Kilmurry finished with a flourish as they defeated St James’ by 3-11 to 0-7 in Ahiohill to take top spot in Group C. In a tight first half, 1-1 from Padraig Brehanu was key for the Muskerry men as they led by 1-4 to 0-4 at the break. They pushed on after the interval with William Ronan and Joe McGinn raising further green flags while James O’Mullane and Kyle Kelleher registered points. Joseph O’Sullivan was St James’ key man as he kicked 0-3 while Frank Hayes contributed 0-2.
