Brian Cody unsurprisingly ratified for another year as Kilkenny manager

Brian Cody has agreed to remain in charge of the Kilkenny hurlers for an incredible 18th season.

The 11-time All-Ireland winning manager has been ratified tonight by the Kilkenny County Board to continue in the job for 2016.

The 61-year-old is the most successful manager in the history of inter-county hurling, having already led Kilkenny to 11 All-Ireland titles, 14 Leinster Championships and eight National League medals.

2016 will offer Cody’s Kilkenny the chance of another three-in-a-row of All-Irelands.

Also at tonight's meeting of the Kilkenny County Board, Pat Hoban was ratified as Minor manager, while eight-time All-Ireland winner Eddie Brennan will take charge of the Under-21s.
