Former Connacht captain Duffy training with Mayo footballers
Former Connacht and Ireland fullback Gavin Duffy is training with the Mayo senior footballers, and stood out after just one session, according to former Mayo star David Brady.
Brady made the revelation on Newstalk’s ‘Off The Ball’ earlier this evening where he revealed that the 10-time capped Ireland international took part in his first session with the squad last night.
Duffy departed the Connacht set-up just last month having failed to secure a new contract.

According to Brady, his fellow Ballina man has been excelling in training.
“Someone said to me that he didn't just fit in, he stood out. Look at the experience he has and I think it will only add to the Mayo setup," he said.
"I think [James Horan] has made a master move by bringing in Gavin Duffy… at the age of 32 or 33, I think it's a great move," added the pundit.
The popular Newstalk show later tweeted that they had confirmed the story from a source independent of Brady.
@Aidenblake84 We've confirmed it independently of DB's report.

The former Connacht captain was a prominent member of the Mayo minor team that reached the All-Ireland final in 1999, before deciding to focus on a career in rugby.
