Next Sunday's Allianz Hurling League Division 3B final will be an all-Connacht affair despite today's defeat for 13-man Mayo at Clones.

Steven Hoban and Derek McConn both saw red for Martin Connelly's Mayo's side in their 2-15 to 0-17 loss to Monaghan.

A Stephen Lambe goal gave Monaghan a 1-08 to 0-06 half-time lead, with Hoban dismissed before the break for Mayo.

Seamus Roche netted the hosts' second goal on the restart as they claimed a four-point victory.

Injury-time points from Ciaran Dowds and Niall Campbell (0-09) earned Donegal a 2-12 to 2-11 win over Sligo at Markievicz Park.

Donegal led by 1-07 to 1-05 at the interval, with Donegal's Enda McDermott and Sligo's Tom Connelly both netting goals.

Although McDermott added a second goal to the Donegal tally on the restart, the visitors were forced to dig deep.

Keith Raymond (0-07, 0-07f) kept the scoreboard ticking over for Sligo. The Yeats men led by a point after 70 minutes, until Donegal's late flourish gave them their second win of the league campaign.

It was a 'must win' clash for both Roscommon and Louth at Athleague today. In the end, hosts Roscommon booked their place in the Division 3B final thanks to a 2-24 to 0-15 win.

Johnny Coyne netted a goal in either half for the Rossies, who led by 1-12 to 0-08 at half-time.

Coyne and Gary Fallon tormented the Louth defence as the Wee County side slumped to only their second defeat.
