GAA postpones Leinster finals again
The current adverse weather conditions have once again forced the postponement of the AIB Leinster Club Senior Hurling and Football Championship finals, which had been refixed for this coming Sunday.
A statement from the Leinster Council confirmed that 'because of the ongoing inclement weather', the outstanding club finals will now not go ahead as planned.
The Leinster SFC final between Kilmacud Crokes and Rhode, which was originally scheduled for December 5, has been postponed for a second time. The game will now take place next month, with the date yet to be confirmed.
For the third time, the Leinster SHC decider between Oulart-the-Ballagh and O'Loughlin Gaels has been called off. The match, which had been pencilled in for Dr Cullen Park this Sunday, will now go ahead in the New Year.
In addition, the Leinster JHC, JFC and IFC finals will now be played on December 19, weather permitting.
Meanwhile, Ulster Council officials have confirmed that they will wait until Friday before making a decision on whether the province's rearranged club football finals can proceed as planned on Sunday.
The list of finals includes the senior clash of Crossmaglen Rangers and Naomh Conaill who are due to meet at St. Tiernach's Park in Clones (throw-in 1.45pm).
