Galway received a bye into the semi-finals when the draw for the 2011 Connacht Senior Football Championship was made tonight at Croke Park.

The Tribesmen, who are yet to appoint a manager for next year, will face London or Mayo at the semi-final stage.

Roscommon's title defence will begin in the Big Apple as they tackle preliminary round hopefuls New York.

Mayo, now managed by former All-Star James Horan, face a trip to London for their opener, with the carrot of a crack at their arch rivals Galway.

Mickey Moran's Leitrim side will face Sligo, this year's beaten finalists, in the third and final preliminary round fixture.

If Sligo and Roscommon progress from the preliminary round, they will meet in a repeat of the 2010 final which the Donie Shine-inspired Rossies won by 0-14 to 0-13.

Tonight's televised draw was performed by John Prenty, the Secretary of the Connacht Council, and current Connacht Council President Paddy Naughton.

Connacht SFC Preliminary Round draw:

New York v Roscommon

London v Mayo

Leitrim v Sligo

Semi-final draw:
