Laois boss in talks with defenders Kelly and Higgins

Laois manager Liam Kearns has revealed that he is in talks with veteran defenders Tom Kelly and Joe Higgins about their inter-county futures.

Kearns has already been dealt a blow with the retirement of goalkeeper Fergal Byron and the recent news that Chris Conway is also set to hang up his boots.

The Laois boss is said to be keen to keep hold of the defenders for one more year
