O'Reilly fit for Dubs' final qualifier

Derek O'Reilly has been included in the Dublin team for tomorrow's concluding All-Ireland SHC qualifier against Offaly (Tullamore, throw-in 3pm).

The tidy Craobh Chiarain wing back, whose championship has been wrecked by a troublesome hamstring injury, returns as one of six changes manager Tommy Naughton has made to the side that lost to Tipperary last week.

O'Reilly's last appearance for the Dubs was in their Leinster semi-final defeat to Wexford on June 9.

With next Wednesday's Leinster Under-21 final on his mind, Naughton is resting five U-21 squad members - Tomas Brady, Alan McCrabbe, Joey Boland, Keith Dunne and Ross O'Carroll - for the seniors' trip to O'Connor Park.

With the Dubs out of contention for an All-Ireland SHC quarter-final place, there will be nothing but pride on the line tomorrow afternoon.

O'Reilly, Robert Reid (Cuala), Greg Bennett (Raheny), Stuart Mullen (St. Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh) and Liam Ryan (O'Toole's) are the new starters, along with St. Brigid's clubman Alan Nolan who replaces Gary Maguire in goal.

DUBLIN (SHC v Offaly) - A Nolan; P Brennan (capt), S Hiney, R Reid; D O'Reilly, R Fallon, K Ryan; M Carton, G Bennett; S Mullen, D Qualter, D Curtin; J Kelly, L Ryan, K Flynn.
