Cats and Tipp must do it again
Kilkenny 2-14 Tipperary 2-14
Kilkenny and Tipperary will clash again next Saturday after their drama-filled draw in today-s All-Ireland U-21 Hurling Championship final at Croke Park.
A goal from substitute Richie Hogan, three minutes into injury-time, kept the Cats in the hunt for a senior-U-21 double.
Five frees from 'Cha' Fitzpatrick handed Kilkenny a 0-09 to 0-08 interval lead – Darragh Egan (0-04) led the Tipp scoring.
Egan netted from a 21-metre free but Richie Power's rocket-like finish in the 48th-minute pegged it back to 1-13 apiece.
Niall Teehan then flicked home a second Tipp goal but despite having substitute Maurice Nolan sent off, the Cats lived to fight another day.
