McIntyre re-appointed as Offaly boss
John McIntyre has been kept in place as Offaly senior hurling manager for 2007.
The former Tipperary player, who is a journalist by profession, will be in charge for a third straight year, despite Offaly's failure to make the All-Ireland's last eight this summer.
The Faithfuls bowed out of the National League at the quarter-final stage, and their All-Ireland campaign was blighted by qualifier defeats to Clare and Limerick.
Two members of McIntyre's backroom team - selectors Joachim Kelly and Daithi Regan - will not be continuing in 2007.
Work commitments have forced former Offaly star Kelly to step down, while Regan, an All-Ireland winner with the Faithfuls in 1994, feels a fresh approach is needed.
McIntyre has been given the power to appoint his own selectors, who are expected to be put in place in the coming weeks. The Lorrha native's first spell in charge of Offaly lasted only a year back in 1997.
