Banned Brady set to face Dubs

Offaly defender Scott Brady's impending suspension will run out at midnight on Saturday week, freeing him to play against Dublin in the Leinster SFC final the following afternoon.

The centre back was red carded late on in last Sunday's semi-final victory over Wexford. Adding to his sending-off against Kildare last month, the Clara clubman is set to receive a two-week ban from the GAA's Central Disciplinary Committee.

The ban will run for two weeks as Brady was sent off for two bookable offences in both games.

Meanwhile, Offaly full-back Shane Sullivan has said he bears no malice towards Matty Forde after the Wexford star was seen to stamp on the Rhode clubman during last weekend's semi-final clash.

Forde escaped punishment from match referee Jimmy White, but the CDC could come down hard on him when they meet next week.

Sullivan said: "What he did was probably wrong but everybody is wound up and hyped up in a game like that. He probably regrets it and I wouldn't like to be in his position, but as far as I'm concerned, it's done and dusted now.

“We shook hands after the game and I bear no grudge against him. Whatever the GAA decide to do - that’s up to them, but for me, it’s over and done with.”
