Geraghty set for Royal return
Graham Geraghty seems certain to play some part in Meath's NFL Division 1B tie against Derry (Navan, throw-in 3.30pm) on Sunday after officially returning to training this week.
Geraghty trained with Eamonn Barry's panel at DCU on Tuesday, ahead of the must-win clash against the Oak Leafers. Meath have lost their last three League games and need the two points to ease their relegation worries.
Geraghty, who turns 33 next month, has made peace with Barry following the disagreement the two had after a challenge match against Antrim in Ratoath in February.
The Senechalstown clubman was alleged to have criticised referee Jim Smith's handling of the game - something which Barry took umbrage with and a verbal exchange ensued in front of the rest of the players.
Geraghty's last outing in the green and gold was as a substitute in the 0-19 to 1-09 defeat of Armagh on February 12.
Another of the 1999 brigade, Ollie Murphy is also back in training after a groin operation. The McKeigue brothers, Niall and Shane, have also returned to the panel and will hope to make some impact ahead of the Royals' Leinster championship opener against Louth on May 14.
