Forde earns Wexford draw

Matty Forde kicked his fifth free in injury time to see Wexford share the spoils with Kildare in Newbridge.

But the Model men, who remain rooted to the bottom of Division 1B, will be kicking themselves after coughing up a 0-06 to 0-01 interval lead. Forde kicked three first-half frees, whilst Tadhg Fennin scored the hosts’ only point after 11 minutes.

Wexford maintained their lead before a six-point burst from the Lilywhites, which included a hat trick from Ronan Sweeney, squared things up. Karl Ennis pointed for the lead on 68 minutes, but Forde had the final say.
