O'Gorman ratified as Wexford selector
Padraig O'Gorman has been ratified as the first selector under new Wexford senior football manager Paul Bealin for the 2006 season.
The Adamstown clubman, who was recently installed as the Enniscorthy Town Clerk, was given the nod by the Wexford GAA Management Committee to link up with former Dublin midfielder Bealin and the team trainer Paul Carty.
O'Gorman, a player with Adamstown for almost 15 years, managed his club at senior level in 2002 and 2003. Bealin's second selector is due to be named in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the annual Wexford GAA County Convention takes place tonight at the Ferrycarrig Hotel with Sean Quirke (Oylegate-Glenbrien) expected to see out his three-year stint as chairman.
