Donegal manager Brian McEniff, the man who led the Tir Chonaill men to the holy grail of a first All-Ireland title back in 1992, is on the verge of quitting the inter-county scene.

McEniff saw his 2005 crop bow out of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers at the second hurdle yesterday as Cavan desperately clung on for a 1-11 to 1-10 win at Breffni Park.
