Carey in hospital after collapse

Kilkenny legendary forward DJ Carey is in hospital today after collapsing following a club game last night.

The Young Ireland's man lined out for his club in a senior hurling league clash with rivals Erin's Own.

He picked up an injury to his upper body midway through the first half but carried on playing.

However, Carey collapsed in the dressing room following the match and was rushed to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
