Bannerman Nugent facing fitness fight

Clare attacker Barry Nugent is facing a race against time to be fit for Monday's National Hurling League final against Kilkenny at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Nugent was an absentee from last weekend's comprehensive victory over Wexford due to a shoulder injury and is only rated a 50-50 chance of making the decider.

Corner-forward Andrew Quinn is suffering with flu but is expected to be available for selection.
