Rebels on the road to Wexford

All-Ireland champions Cork take to the road today and face Wexford, the opposition they overcame in last year's semi-final, in their Division 1B second round clash at Wexford Park.

The Rebels are buoyed by their 13-point victory over Limerick last weekend, and manager John Allen has recalled last year's Young Player of the Year, Brian Murphy, to the side for the Division 1B clash.

Murphy replaces John Browne at right corner-back in the first of two changes to the side that trounced the Shannonsiders.

Sarsfields club man Kieran Murphy comes in at right corner-forward, with Jonathan O'Callaghan moving to the half-forward line to cover for Ben O'Connor, who had surgery on a knee injury this week.

Meanwhile, Darren Stamp will line out in the heart of Wexford's defence for the visit of the Rebels.

Stamp, who is returning from injury, has been provisionally named in the centre-back berth, but will undergo a fitness test this morning.

Manager Seamus Murphy has made two changes from the side that defeated Antrim last weekend.

John O'Connor comes in at right half-back in place of Kevin Kavanagh, while Stamp has been pencilled in to take over from Darragh Ryan, who suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury last weekend.

Tipperary, who seek their second win in the league today, travel to face lowly Limerick, who are beset by discontent both on and off the field.

Last year's captain, TJ Ryan, has been dropped from Padjoe Whelahan's side and is believed to be taking a break to work on his fitness over the next month.

Meanwhile, Mark Foley, who was named on the team this week, may be a late withdrawal for the second time in as many weeks. The half-back is understood to be suffering from flu.

Michael Clifford replaces half-back Peter Lawlor, who broke his jaw last weekend.

Patrickswell's Paul O'Grady takes over from Pat Tobin at midfield, while James O'Brien is at full-forward with John Paul Sheahan dropping to the bench.

Tipperary have made two changes to the side that narrowly overcame Down last weekend.

Former All Star goalkeeper Brendan Cummins returns in place of Damien Young, and Francis Devaney leads the attack after impressing last week on his introduction.

Michael Webster moves to full-forward with the injured Darragh Egan ruled out.

Down make one enforced change for today's All-Ulster clash with Antrim.

Martin Coulter suffered a suspected broken jaw in last weekend's narrow defeat by Tipperary, and the player who replaced him, Andrew Bell, keeps his place.

Eoin Clarke and Stephen Clarke picked up ankle injuries last week but were passed fit.

Antrim are still without Brian McFall, Liam Watson, Connor Cunning and Michael Magill and are awaiting fitness reports on Johnny Campbell, Martin Scullion, Karl McKeegan, Colm McGuickian and Michael Hamilton.
