Murphy gets Fenlon boost

New Wexford hurling boss Seamus Murphy has been given a pre-Christmas boost as Adrian Fenlon has made himself available for the Yellowbellies for another year.

Fenlon's decision to carry on at inter-county level will no doubt relieve Murphy, whose full-back Daragh Ryan has been ruled out of the League with a knee injury.

Murphy said: "He will not be available until the end of March but will come in for the remainder of the league and championship. We have given him his own fitness programme until then."

Murphy is also hopeful that the decision to return by Darren Stamp and Rory Mallon will provide him with further cover.
