Murphy tipped to take Galway senior post
Galway All-Ireland-winning minor hurling boss Mattie Murphy could be in line to take the helm of the senior set-up.
Current boss Conor Hayes is under pressure from Murphy and another former Tribesman boss, Noel Lane.
The Galway hurling board has set up a seven-member committee to pick next season's manager.
The three candidates will be interviewed by the selection committee in the coming weeks.
Hayes preceded Lane as manager two years ago, while Lane replaced Murphy in 2000.
