Kerry 0-7 Cork 0-3

Despite a fiery opening from Cork, it's near neighbours Kerry who lead 0-07 to 0-03 at the break of their Munster SFC semi-final in sunny Killarney.

The Munster and NFL Division One champions' full-back line looked at sea in the early stages as the movement of Micheal O Croinin, Conor McCarthy and Alan Cronin saw the Rebels with an early 0-02 to 0-01 lead.

But four frees from Mike Frank Russell and a brace of lengthy scores from Colin 'Gooch' Cooper, who fed Eoin Brosnan for the other on 22 minutes, see the Kingdom four in front.

O Croinin struck the final point, a free on the half hour.

Meanwhile, 2003 Leinster semi-finalists Dublin lead Westmeath 2-05 to 0-09 thanks to two goals, at half-time in Croke Park.

Dual star Conal Keaney struck a fourteenth minute penalty along the ground and into the Midlanders' net for an early Dublin advantage. Points from David O'Callaghan, Michael Carton and Liam Ryan and a second goal from O'Callaghan had the Dubs 2-04 to 0-02 in front after 17 minutes.

Westmeath, who narrowly missed out on promotion to NHL Division One this year, came back well though with six unanswered points including five frees from Andrew Mitchell.

In Ulster, Armagh lead Cavan 0-5 to 0-4 in today's Ulster SFC semi-final.
