Meath star Murphy facing three game lay-off

Former AllStar Ollie Murphy is eyeing a return to the Meath first team in time for the NFL clash with Laois in early March.

Carnaross clubman Murphy is recovering from an operation on a serious groin injury and boss Sean Boylan is resigned to losing out on the services of his top forward until March.

A Meath source said: "Ollie has been told to do nothing until the end of January, absolutely nothing. He will probably miss the first few games of the league after that."
