Boylan reappointed for twenty-second term
Long-serving Meath football manager Sean Boylan has been reappointed for a twenty-second consecutive term in charge after staving off the attentions of rival Eamonn Barry.
Dunboyne herbalist Boylan led Meath to four All-Ireland titles, the last as recently as 1999, but was up against Leinster winning Dunshaughlin boss Barry for the second year in a row.
Last year, the vote between the two was narrow but Boylan ran out an easy winner this time with a 69-19 vote of confidence despite Meath's poor championship run and loss to Fermanagh.
