Tipp football boss resigns
Tipperary senior football boss Tom McGlinchy has decided to call it a day after three years at the helm with the squad.
The Corkman, a PE instructor based at the Garda Training College in Templemore made his announcement following Tipperary's defeat at the hands of Donegal in Croke Park on Sunday.
He said it was time "for a new voice" for the county's senior football players.
"When I took over as Manager my aim was to raise the profile of Tipp football at senior level. I'd like to think that I achieved, at least to some extent that aim.
"I worked with a great bunch of players, fiercely committed at all times and I was pleased that they realised their dream of playing All-Ireland championship in Croke Park," he said.
McGlinchy, who played with Clyda Rovers in Cork has been linked with the Cork senior football job.
