Tipp star Maher to undergo scan

Tipperary defender Philly Maher will undergo another scan on his damaged knee to assess his chances of making Sunday week's Munster clash with Clare.

Maher limped out of Monday's Div 1 league final loss to Kilkenny and is rated as doubtful to return in time for the Clare crunch.

He was meant to have the scan yesterday following an initial assessment on Monday night but it has been put back to today.
