Cody wins Manager of the month award

All-Ireland winning Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody has been named Philips Sports Manager of the Month for September.

The Cats boss picked up the award as Kilkenny beat Clare in the All-Ireland final to seal their second victory in three years.

Armagh football boss Joe Kernan as well as Bohemians' Stephen Kenny and Connacht rugby boss Steph Nel were outsiders for the award.
