Cody believes Shefflin is hurler of the year

New All-Ireland champions Kilkenny will arrive back in Kilkenny City at 6.30pm tonight before being paraded through the streets on an open top bus.

The Cats beat Clare 2-20 to 0-19 at Croke Park yesterday to lift their first title since 2000.

Meanwhile boss Brian Cody believes man-of-the-match Henry Shefflin should be crowned Hurler of the Year.

He said: "He's developed so much as a player and was brilliant in the league and championship. At this stage he's flawless."
