Cork make amends by taking lead
Tipperary 0-06, Cork 1-04 (latest)
Cork have made amends for a bad opening 10 minutes by taking the lead in their Munster football final clash against Tipperary at Semple Stadium.
Home advantage looked to be suiting unfancied Tipperary as they got off to a flying start with three points from Declan Browne and two from Peter Lambert inside the first 10 minutes.
Cork got off the mark with a Murphy point in the seventh minute.
However, the Rebels began to assert their authority as Colin Corkery scored from play before Brendan Jer O'Sullivan soloed in and squeezed a goal past Philip Ryan in the Tipp net in the 17th minute.
Fionnan Murray and Philip Clifford quickly followed up with points.
