All the results are in from today’s busy NFL schedule which involved four semi-finals as part of the unusual format used in the knock-out stages of the tournament.

In the Division One semi-finals, Mayo were up against Tyrone at Enniskillen while Cavan and Roscommon played in Mullingar.

Mayo were favourites to progress to the final stages of the tournament they won last year having lost just one game in the league stages but Tyrone’s superior firepower shocked the defending champions with a massive 3-12 to 0-11 win.

Tyrone will now play Cavan to see who progresses from the Division One section after Cavan ran in five goals against a weakened Roscommon side who tried valiantly to match the Cavan forwards on the score sheet; in what was an exciting match, Cavan won by 5-13 to 3-12.

In the Division two semi-finals, Laois defeated Armagh at Longford by 0-12 to 0-08 while Kerry gained revenge for their humiliation in the All Ireland semi-final last season as they defeated Meath in Limerick by 0-11 to 0-08.
