GAA: Tipp star in race for fitness
Tipperary senior hurling star John O’Brien has been ruled out of action for
a month having damaged shoulder ligaments.
O’Brien came on for Tipperary in the Munster Final against Limerick and
scored a vital point in the closing stages.
However, the U21 star is likely to miss the All-Ireland semi-final after
examinations on his troublesome shoulder revealed extensive ligament damage.
He will undergo intensive treatment in the coming weeks in a bid to be fit
for the semi-final on August 5th, but faces a real race against time.
