Billy Cain's goal fires Christians to another title success

CBC Cork 1-12 Scoil na Tríonóide Naofa, Doon 1-8: A 47th-minute Billy Cain goal helped CBC retain the Munster Colleges Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship title in Mallow yesterday.

It was the decisive score during an equally important spell, when the Cork school registered 1-4 without reply to gain a winning grip.

The teams were level six times in the opening 38 minutes and were tied at 0-8 apiece before Christians found another gear.
