Goals were part of Cuala's plan, says Mattie Kenny

Mattie Kenny may have thought he was onto a winner when he enjoyed a hole-in-one in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday. “The hole in one was a fluke – today was more crafted,” smiled the Cuala manager.

Scoring goals, he revealed, was part of the plan. They could have had four inside the first 20 minutes but ended up with two.

“We went after goals. We missed two goals in the first half, which really would have given us a cushion. We went in at half-time five up. I thought we deserved to be a couple more points ahead, open up a bit more of a gap.
